George "Tyrus" Murdoch is a Fox News contributor. He joined the network in 2016 and regularly contributes to FNC’s late night program Gutfeld! (weeknights, 11PM-12AM/ET). Andrew Gruel, is an American chef and television personality, who appeared as a judge on Food Network's Food Truck Face Off and is the founder, CEO and executive chef of Slapfish Restaurant, a seafood restaurant franchise based out of Huntington Beach, California. Chef Gruel is also the creator of The 86 Restaurant Struggle: A fund that is helping struggling and out of restaurant workers. The fund was created because Restaurants in the U.S. are in an "economic free fall" amid the ongoing spike in coronavirus cases and the forced shutdowns, with almost 20% of dining establishments around the country having closed permanently since the start of the pandemic. The 86 Restaurant Struggle has raised over $420,000. In this IFI Worldview Session, Stacy Washington uses her role as a Christian mother and participant on her local school board to teach us what is being introduced in our public schools under the name of "Critical Race Theory," or CRT. CRT, as she explains, has its foundations in Marxism, which leads us to ask: how did we as Americans, in our unique and free country, get to the point of accepting any Marxist theory? Where are the principles that our nation was based on? Beyond this, Washington shows us CRT in schools teaches children that they are either privileged or victims, a worldview which may be concerning to many parents, regardless of their professed political views. She explains how CRT is like a Trojan horse, claiming to help people get along while destroying children's innocence. (Martin Luther, “Reactions to Peasant Rebellions” (1525))1 Violence, particularly vigilante violence, always betrays the cause. The violence of yesterday at the Capitol, is reprehensible and to be punished to the full extent of the law. Law and order—the rule of law, as we have argued many times before, is the basic foundation to a civil society. The peaceful concerns of many people who gathered yesterday were betrayed by vile acts of those who breached the Capitol to wreak havoc on our country. As Luther said in 1525 concerning the actions of the peasants of his day, their concerns (to which he was sympathetic) did not justify their murderous, rebellious actions. We can say much the same of those who were lawless yesterday. There is a growing vitriol and violence associated with our political passions. People wish to blame this president for the situation, but the vile language and rhetoric has been growing for years. (I do not deny that our president has contributed in part to the problem, and even bears some responsibility for what happened yesterday). Language is one thing, violence is another. Many have already forgotten a similar breach on our government merely three years ago when James Hodgkinson attempted to assassinate GOP members of congress2 in 2017 purely for political reasons (He did wound Rep. Steve Scalise). And there’s the unjust and often unchecked violence on both sides of the issues of the last several months that have people of goodwill on both sides
